"A photograph is like the recipe a memory the finished dish." ~Carrie Latet
I've always been interested in photography and arts ever since I was little. Not in behind the camera though! My mom would always dress me up and take a ton of pictures. The picture-taking influence grew evident as I grew older, seeing as I became more of a camera hog—where it would be Christmas one year, a seven-year-old version of me pushing my brother away so that I’d be at the center of attention of the video camera. Of course, that would always result in a pushing match…but ah, the memories… Pictures to me always capture something special. Whether its nature, landscape, architecture, people, or random objects you were trying to shoot before somebody bumped into your hand, photos always say something, capturing a moment in time. Before, the interest was always there, except I would usually just take pictures during outings with my friends. In the past year or so, I've been doing more spontaneous picture-taking, shooting when something catches my eye. I know for sure I want to further pursue my interest in photography eventually, but for now, I’ll stick to my point-and-shoot Nikon, and advice from my peers. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot more photo-taking than before though, now that I’ve gotten addicted to Picture Parity, thanks to Allan! |
