I wouldn't say that I have always been "interested" in photography, as for long periods of time it was simply something that was "there" and I didn't pay much attention to it. My dad was something of a photographer and he instilled the bug in me as I was growing up, but that bug was squashed for a while about when I left High School when all of my equipment vanished and I couldn't really justify the expense of replacing it.

Fast forward a few years and I picked up a little Canon Powershot A85 to carry around in my jacket, and the bug was reborn. It didn't take me too long to realise just how limited that was, so I scraped together a few dollars and bought a Canon Rebel XT. I haven't looked back since, despite all the other people here giving me a hard time for not being Nikon. I'll show 'em!
